The work of art Kaléidoscope. Déconstructions chromatiques consists of two interlocking wooden pyramids, with steel elements bent and shaped on the inside to reflect the 4 strips on which the coloured pallets have been arranged. Differently positioned, they variously reflect symmetrically or disjointedly due to the angle at which the steel panels have been bent. The setting is also reflected. The interplay between the angles, the illusion of transparency and the disjointed reflection creates a spatial confusion that is only clarified by the public’s active intervention. As the viewer moves around the sculpture, the phenomenon is explained, but new details, new spaces and new visual angles emerge. In the darkness the sculpture does not disappear, rather it appears incomprehensibly floating on a glowing fuchsia band, remaining the only element that restores us to reality. The work explores the theme of perception and impels us to reflect on our relationship with the world, in a continuous balance between poetry, rational thought and an incomprehensible universe.

L’opera Kaléidoscope. Déconstructions chromatiques è composta da due piramidi di legno incastrate l’una nell’altra, da elementi d’acciaio piegati e sagomati nella parte interna in modo da riflettere le 4 strisce su cui sono state disposte le palette colorate. Posizionate in modo diverso, di tanto in tanto si specchiano simmetricamente o si riflettono in maniera scomposta per via dell’angolatura con cui sono stati piegati i pannelli d’acciaio. Anche l’ambiente circostante si riflette. L’interazione tra le angolature, l’illusione di trasparenza e la riflessione scomposta crea una confusione spaziale che si chiarisce solo con l’intervento attivo del pubblico.  Man mano che lo spettatore si muove intorno alla scultura, il fenomeno viene spiegato, ma emergono nuovi dettagli, nuovi spazi, nuove angolazioni visive.
Nel buio la scultura non scompare, piuttosto appare incomprensibilmente galleggiare su una luminosa fascia fucsia rimanendo l’unico elemento che ci riporta alla realtà. L’opera indaga ancora il tema della percezione e ci spinge a riflettere sul nostro rapporto con il mondo, in continuo equilibrio tra poesia, pensiero razionale e un universo incomprensibile.
